In Memory of Arriana
Former puppymill dog, Arianna who spent her life having puppies before being rescued has paid the ultimate price. She was put to sleep after the vet found multiple mammary tumors and a large mass on her kidney...RIP sweet baby!  Her Mom loved her even though she didn't have her very long. It still hurts to know that she only knew love and a home for a short time, but that is more than many of them ever have. Arianna was one of 17 dogs that HEART went and rescued from Missouri. HEART ended up with her and another Maltese and the Cocker because no other rescue had room for them. She was such a sweet little soul. This is the side of breeding that most don't see. If she would have been spayed before having a litter her chances of mammary cancer would have been greatly reduced. She was surrendered because she wasn't profittable to the breeder anymore and now we know why her production was down.  Her poor little body was worn out and full of cancer. At least she died being loved and wasn't left to die in the mill.....

In Memory of Sandy Sogard : Sandy was a very special lady who had a warm heart. She brought warm blankets for our homeless animals to sleep on. If we were in the newspaper for any reason, she would share it with us. She will be greatly missed, not only by all of us here at Jewell Animal Hospital, but by the many people she has helped with her kind heart. She was a very giving and kind person. Our sympathy is extended to her family and friends.
