Jewell Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary clinic. We are located in Jewell, Iowa, in Southern Hamilton County. We know that your dog or cat is not only a pet, but is also a beloved family member. We offer preventative health care, dental care, surgical procedures, grooming, and pet supplies.
Rescue Groups and Shelters Welcome!
Jewell Animal Hospital, PC, is dedicated to assisting rescue groups and animal shelters. We currently work with many rescue groups locally and out of state. Many of the groups transport dogs from Missouri and Southern Iowa to safety in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
During the transport, they leave the dogs at our hospital for a week. We provide the rescued pets with needed veterinary care. The following weekend, the dogs move to their semi final destinations, ie foster homes with their new rescue group.

Links page. We LOVE making a difference in the life of every animal that comes through our door! For that reason, we enjoy extending our paws to rescue groups and their volunteers!

Prior to our opening on April 1st, 2003, there was no humane animal control for Hamilton County. We take pride in the animal rescue work that we provide locally. With the assistance of the South Hamilton Animal Alliance, we do our best to rehome strays from the towns of
Jewell, Ellsworth, and Stanhope. We also run trap-neuter-release programs within these towns, as well as Randall, to minimize the number of stray and feral cats within city limits. Remember, we are not a pound or shelter, we are a veterinary clinic with a heart! If you like what we do for your community, please support us by letting us pamper your pets and keep them healthy.

Helping our community is very important to us. We take advantage of many opportunities to provide for and improve our community in any way we can.
We host tours of the clinic for school programs, sponsor the Wildlife Animal Clinic program during our local festival, "Jewell Jubilee". We strive to keep strays at a minimum within our city limits. We built our own Pooch Park to the north of our property, where you can sit at our picnic table or on our double swing, with your pet and enjoy the weather, or just take a break from your daily walk.
